Last night at family dinner, Camden decided to let go of whatever she was holding and walk to her Grandmother patiently waiting at the other end of the room. Rob and I just couldn't believe our eyes! We thought she would be weeks away from letting go and stepping into the big girl world of walking! We were very wrong! We were also completely unprepared for the event...we left the camera at home, and the video camera battery was not charged!! She has not tried it again since last night, but I am sure that she will be going everywhere she wants in no time at all! I was so proud of her in that moment...but at the same time I wanted to cry! I am not ready for her to be walking...that will mean that she needs me a little less! I guess they have to grow up no matter how many times I try to stop them!
P.S. Cute, chubby little Emma has no desire to walk! She can pull herself up and walk around the couch, but she is still very content to sit and play with her toys. Good baby! One at a time!

Rise and Shout!
The cougars are out! We are trying desperately to teach the girls how to clap and cheer when BYU football is on TV! It has been pretty challenging considering they don't even acknowledge the TV when it is on or off! We are hoping that by the end of the season they will automatically begin cheering when they hear the Cougar fight song! We also always dress them in cougar colors on game days! You have to start young, if you want them trained right!
For all you cougar fans out there...don't miss the game today against UCLA! If only I were not so pregnant, we would be traveling to Provo to see BYU in person!

Fun in the...Snow! What!
So we took off this weekend for Solitude ski resort with Rob's family! A fun weekend in the sun! It was beautiful weather for most of the trip, until Sunday night! It started raining, and it rained all night long. In the morning as we were packing to come home, the rain turned into snow! We could not believe it! Rob took several pictures of the snow...to say he was excited would be an understatement! It was really nice to feel crisp air after feeling heat all summer long!

The girls in the back seat on the drive home! They were ready to be out of the car!

We really did love our weekend getaway! We had so much fun spending time with family and relaxing with our sweet girls! Thank you Jensen's and Turman's for hanging out with us! We love you!
Other highlights from the trip:
1. Swimming with the girls!
2. Nature walks...trying to get the girls excited about ducks and deer!
3. Playing with cousins!
4. For Camden the coffee table in the condo was the most exciting thing! Even though she came home with too many bruises to count!
5. Eating lots of yummy junk food, and staying up late watching movies!
Here are some more random pictures!

Amanda & Rob Finlinson
Our Story...
- Amanda Finlinson
- Rob and I met in November of 2002 in the financial services office at BYU. After a very akward introduction, which involved me introducing myself in the third person, Rob called and asked me out. After a pretty amazing first date (its a long story-some other time), I confidently told Rob "that once he dated me he would never want to date anyone else." I really had no idea at that point that it was going to work out so well. We dated for the next five months and then one beautiful night on a bridge at Sundance resort, Rob and I got engaged. We were married four months later on August 16, 2003 in the Las Vegas, NV temple. And we have been living happily ever after since...
