Valentine's Day Retreat
For Valentine's Day, Rob and I escaped from the babies and everyday life and spent the night down on the Las Vegas strip! We really wanted to get out of vegas, but did not have the time to travel. So we decided to stay downtown and explore Las Vegas. It was wonderful!!! I sometimes forget that we live in such a fun place, where there is endless shopping and amazing restaurants!
The weekend included:
A spa treatment at THE bathhouse at THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay. I have to say this place is absolutely wonderful! I don't think my two hours there was nearly enough! I plan on going back really soon! (Locals get a discount, and they have lots of cool pools and steam rooms)
After the spa treatment, Rob and I met at our hotel room, where we changed for dinner at Maggiano's. I made reservations ahead of time so that we could have a great view of the strip. The highlight of dinner was the music...there was a funny man playing the accordion! He played the song from Disney's "Lady and the Tramp." If only we had ordered spaghetti with meatballs!
We spent the night at THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay. Our room was perfect!
I don't have a picture for the Wynn, but we had breakfast/lunch at the Terrance Cafe in the Wynn Hotel. This was the first time I had been to the Wynn, it was totally different than what I expected. I really recommend this cafe! It was reasonably priced and the food was delicious!

After eating at the Wynn, we headed to Town Square for shopping and movie!

We saw the movie "Push!" It was an interesting movie, and I suggest you rent it when it comes out on DVD!

Grandma Finlinson giving Sophie loves before heading to church! She was a little angel during her blessing!

Sweet little Sophie Anne Finlinson was blessed this past Sunday by her wonderful father Rob! I love baby blessings! It is the first of three significant events that will happen to Sophie that require a very special white dress! She was absolutely beautiful on her special day! We were blessed to have so many family and friends in attendance for her big moment! Thank you everyone for coming and supporting our family! We love you all! Here are just a few of the pictures of sweet little sophie! She is getting big!

Happy Thanksgiving
We wish you a very happy, fun, and safe Thanksgiving! We are so grateful this year for the arrival of our three beautiful girls! What a blessing it is to be part of an eternal family! We hope that you are cherishing your own family today! I wish I could list all the other things that I am grateful for this year (there are lots), but all I continue to think about is my family!

1 year stats!
Camden and Emma went to the doctor this morning! It was so crazy! You should see how they destroy the paper on the exam tables- it is very impressive! Its all fun and games until they get their shots! Then we all cry together all the way home! I just wanted to record their stats so that I don't forget some day!
Camden Finlinson
Weight: 22 pounds 4 oz.
Height: 30 1/2 inches tall
Emma Finlinson
Weight: 22 pounds (we think, she hated the scale today)
Height: 29 1/2 inches
I am happy to report that neither one of them is over weight, despite how chubby they look! They are pretty solid girls!

Happy 1st Birthday- Camden & Emma
Emma right after delivery!
Camden right after delivery!
They came into this world so tiny...and now they are not so tiny! I am just amazed at how much they have changed in one year!!Getting a picture of the twins together is nearly impossible! We took pictures for an hour and this is all I could get of them together, and individually! Oh well! They are still so cute!
So the girls celebrated their first birthday on Wednesday! It was so much fun! The day started off with Grandma Pam coming over to give them a birthday hug and a few gifts, which included more toy cell phones, and a fun box of blocks. After that Aunt Melanie came over to take them shopping...Melanie has decided that she will take them shopping every year for their birthday! Which is so cute of Mel...but I wonder how many years it will last! She bought them so many toys, including a very loud drum set! Thanks Mel! We ended the day with a family dinner, and a movie. Aunt Jami (Rob's amazing sis) made this incredible movie out of the pictures from our blog over the last year! It makes me cry every time I watch it! So sweet- thanks Jami! We are so blessed! Happy birthday Camden and Emma! I can't believe how fast this year went!

Amanda & Rob Finlinson
Our Story...
- Amanda Finlinson
- Rob and I met in November of 2002 in the financial services office at BYU. After a very akward introduction, which involved me introducing myself in the third person, Rob called and asked me out. After a pretty amazing first date (its a long story-some other time), I confidently told Rob "that once he dated me he would never want to date anyone else." I really had no idea at that point that it was going to work out so well. We dated for the next five months and then one beautiful night on a bridge at Sundance resort, Rob and I got engaged. We were married four months later on August 16, 2003 in the Las Vegas, NV temple. And we have been living happily ever after since...
