The following is a short list of sweet things that I never want to forget! I love being a mom!
1. Watching the girls sleep. They will not sleep unless they are touching heads and holding hands. It is the most precious thing I have ever witnessed! I will start them separate in their crib, and they will move until they are touching.
2. The smell of clean babies fresh from the bath!
3. The first time Camden found my hair and pulled it! It hurt but the look on her face was priceless! She looked like she just won the lottery!
4. Watching the girls hold their heads up during tummy time. They are so proud of themselves, they are usually smiling from ear to ear.
5. Emma's sweet dimples.
6. The fact that the girls wait until Rob gets home from work to have poopy diapers! They get so excited that it just all comes out! (Sorry, that is a little gross!) Makes me laugh everyday!
7. The first time Camden slept through the night! (I am happy to report that she has slept through the night 6 days in a row!) The first time it scared me to death! I checked on her so many times. Emma is only waking up once, and last night she slept from 9:30-5:00am! We are so happy!
8. The first time Emma put her hands around my neck and snuggled in under my chin. I cried it was so sweet.
I know there are more things, but those moments have been on my mind. I needed to write them down before they were forgotten! Please check out the new pictures below! They are growing up to fast! They are starting to grow out of their newborn clothes....so sad!

Paralyzed
So I woke up this morning at 2:30am to feed Emma a bottle and my face felt wierd. So I looked in the mirror and the right side of my face is paralyzed!! I thought I was just sleeping on that side of my face and that it would be gone in the morning. It is not gone. Its like I went to the dentist to have some work done and the numbness will never go away! So I called my doctor, Dr. Melinda Cave, and she says she has seen this many times in patients. In 85% of patients it goes away! She has started me on steroids and antiviral medicine to cure the problem. In the meantime, I am very annoyed! I can't smile, close my right eye, pucker my lips...nothing! The real horrible thing is that I can't keep my right eye closed enough to keep my eye lubricated. So I have to keep putting in no tear drops, and I have to wear a patch over my eye at night! My daughters are going to think that I am a pirate when I get up to feed them! Seriously...this is horrible and very strange! The medicine better work fast!
By the way, Emma rolled over last week! Yeah Emma! And this morning at the doctor Emma weighed 8lbs 4 oz and Camden is 9lbs! They are getting so big!

Milestone
Last night during a family photo shoot with Megan Sagers, Camden Finlinson rolled over! We couldn't believe that she was strong enough to do that! It was so amazing! These little girls are growing up so fast! I am sure Emma will be rolling over within the week!

Happy New Year!
After a 5 and 1/2 weeks in the hospital, Emma finally came home! Just in time to celebrate the new year with her parents and sister! We are so thrilled to finally have both of them home! It might be lots of work with no sleep for the next few months, but these cute babies are totally worth every minute! We could not ask for two better babies, and spend all our time looking at them and dressing them up! We could not think of a better way to start off a new year then with these two little miracle babies home with us! We hope that you all had a great Christmas and are as excited for the new year as we are! 2008 is going be grrreaat!
I hope you enjoy all of the pictures! It is amazing how fast they change and grow! I love that they are starting to get double chins...even though they have long skinny bodies!

Good News!
Quick update!
Camden is coming home tonight! Unfortunately, Emma will be spending a few more nights! We hope to have her home on Christmas, but are trying not to get our hopes up! Emma just needs some more time to master the art of feeding! Suck...swallow..breath...all at the same time! It kills me to be leaving Emma at the hospital, but I don't have much of a choice. The doctor says Camden will be discharged today, whether I am ready or not!
Merry Christmas! All of you that are leaving town for the holidays please travel safely!

One step forward and a few steps back!
This week has been very hard to go through! It is so exciting to see the babies make progress, but when they take some steps backward, it can be very emotionally and physically exhausting. Here are this weeks highlights and lowlights:
1. Highlight: Camden loves to drink from a bottle! After a few days of just sucking out a little from the bottle, she finally got the hang of it and drank an entire bottle. Emma started to try the bottle, but is still a little akward with the sucking and swallowing. She will get their eventually!
2. Highlight: Seeing the two of them snuggling! I left them one day to go get some lunch, and when I came back they were totally snuggled up next to each other. I think Emma just really loves her sister! (See the pictures below.)
3. Lowlight: Camden got a fever on Monday morning signalling that she had an infection. Preemies can get very sick with infections. She got moved out of the bed with her sister and into an isolette immediately. They ran millions of tests including a lumbar puncture...which for me was the scarest thing in the world. They put her on antibotics and she seems to be doing so much better! Come to find out yesterday, that she has a mild urinary infection.
4. Lowlight: Emma after being the strong one for a few days, woke up Tuesday night throwing up. She has a stomach infection of some kind, the results of those tests will not be back until later today. She was rushed across the hall back to the intensive care unit for monitoring. It is very serious to get any kind of stomach infection. They started her on anitbotics, and stuck a suction tube down her throat into her stomach to suction out all of the mucous and junk. Poor little baby...she looks so sad to be away from her sister. All of the xrays of her stomach that have come back so far, look like she is getting better very quickly. Only problem is that she will have to be without food for at least three days, and when she is ready for food again they will have to start her very slowly. It could be at least a week before she starts trying with a bottle again! AHHHH!
5. Lowlight: Both babies had to have blood transfusions yesterday afternoon. They went well and both should have lots of energy now to fight their infections.
